SUPERVISORY INSPECTIONS SPECIALIST
The Air Force Inspection Agency is seeking a Supervisory Inspections Specialist to function as a Technical Advisor of Oversight Inspections. This role involves supervising inspectors, directing multifunctional teams, and ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements in various inspection types for the Air Force and U.S. Space Force.

Responsibilities
Plans, organizes, and directs the activities of Oversight Directorate, ensuring that all activities comply with legal and regulatory requirements and meets customer needs
Performs supervisory personnel management responsibilities
Performs technical duties as Inspection Team Chief, Team Lead, or Inspector roles as assigned on Oversight Inspections
Prepares, edits, reviews, and approves written memoranda and final reports

Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret clearance
This position has been designated by the Air Force as a Testing Designated Position (TDP) under the Air Force Civilian Drug Demand Reduction Program. Employee must pass initial and periodic short notice drug testing
One year at the GS-13 level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS-14 level
Demonstrated expert knowledge of AFIS to include leadership experience in unit effectiveness inspections, headquarter inspections and directed inspections or similar assessment programs such as those used in operational or developmental testing
Expert knowledge of analytical and evaluative management methods and thorough understanding of how programs are administered to select and apply appropriate measurement techniques to evaluate program effectiveness and results
Thorough knowledge of the functions of the Inspector General and functional interrelationships among command missions, programs, systems, procedures, and activities, plus the regulatory framework in which they operate, to direct the assessments and inspections of Air and Space Force-wide policies, programs, and procedures of Air Force programs and processes
Exceptional skills in project management, gathering, assembling, and analyzing facts, drawing conclusions, conducting analysis, applying of a wide range of qualitative/quantitative methods for use in the assessment and improvement of Air Force processes; devising recommended solutions, and package and communicate conclusions effectively in briefings, papers, or reports suitable for top management use and decision-making in the assessment and improvement of Air Force processes
Demonstrated advanced interpersonal skills to diplomatically, convincingly, professionally, clearly, concisely, and with technical accuracy in written and oral communication present issues and recommendations and promote effective working relationships, some of which may be contentious in nature
Ability to manage/lead specialized teams of diverse civilian and military employees (from GS-7 to GS-15 and E-7 to O-6) and oversee the overall planning, direction, and timely execution of the Air Force inspection program that impacts Department of the Air Force (DAF), MAJCOM/FLDCOM, and Field Operating Agencies (FOA)/Direct Reporting Units (DRU) personnel
