Lake Apopka Natural Gas District is searching for an accomplished Vice President of Accounting & Finance (VPAF) to join their team. This role is responsible for overseeing all financial operations and driving financial performance across the organization while collaborating closely with the executive team to support business growth and optimize financial processes.

Overseeing all financial operations

Ensuring fiscal responsibility

Driving financial performance across the organization

Oversight of the District's Finance, Accounting, Utility Billing, Customer Service, Warehouse, Building and Property Maintenance functions and associated administrative responsibilities

Combining high-level financial strategy with hands-on management of accounting, budgeting, forecasting, compliance, and reporting functions

Collaborating closely with the executive team to support business growth and optimize financial processes

Required

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field

10+ years of progressive experience in accounting and finance

Proven experience in strategic planning, budgeting and financial analysis

Must use tact, diplomacy, and good judgement in dealing with employees, customers, vendors and the public

Preferred

Master's degree

CPA

Accounting experience in the natural gas industry or other utility

Field training with a CPA firm
