RAN Wireless SME – 4G/5G
Avacend Inc is seeking a RAN Wireless SME with expertise in 4G and 5G technologies. The role involves developing product requirements, conducting performance analysis, and supporting pre-sales activities while working closely with customers and technical teams.
Responsibilities
Develop product and feature requirements, system specifications, and performance analysis
Analyze customer requirements and translate them into detailed system designs
Conduct KPI performance analysis and troubleshoot 4G/5G wireless call protocols
Support pre-sales activities and technical presentations to customers
Educate customers on products and services, ensuring commitments are met
Work with lab and field teams for chipset testing and network deployments
Qualification
Required
12+ years of experience in wireless telecommunications (RAN focus)
Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science (Advanced degree preferred)
Strong knowledge of 4G LTE & 5G NR architectures, call processing, PHY/MAC/RLC/RRC/PDCP layers
Hands-on experience with RAN performance analysis, KPI optimization, and troubleshooting
Commercial network 4G and 5G KPI performance analysis and debugging experience
Familiarity with XCAL, QXDM, Wireshark, and channel emulators
Understanding of Hybrid Beamforming, Massive MIMO, LTE-NR interworking, 5G numerologies
Ability to present complex technical concepts to customers and cross-functional teams
US work authorization required (US Citizen / Green Card/ EAD)
Preferred
Experience with 3GPP Release 15/16 specifications
Exposure to software and hardware architecture in wireless systems
Strong problem-solving, negotiation, and communication skills
Ability to manage multiple projects in a dynamic environment
