Proposal Development Coordinator

The University of Nebraska-Lincoln is seeking a Proposal Development Coordinator to join an interdisciplinary team of research development professionals. This role involves providing comprehensive proposal development guidance and support to faculty, staff, and administrators, including coaching in grant applications and managing the pre-award proposal development process.

Responsibilities

Coaching faculty in developing highly competitive grant applications
Providing editorial support for single and multi-investigator proposals of various sizes and complexities
Taking a leadership role in organizing and managing the pre-award proposal development process
Problem-solving with faculty and other staff to maximize efficiency and effectiveness
Actively supporting research growth via building relationships and sharing targeted funding opportunities
Providing tailored support to build capacities of researchers and research teams
Collaborating with Center leadership

Required

Bachelor's degree in English, journalism, communications, or a relevant scientific discipline plus two (2) years' demonstrated experience writing and/or editing grant proposals in the public or private sector
Demonstrated excellent writing, editing, and interpersonal communication skills
Flexibility, adaptability, and ability to simultaneously manage multiple projects
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or similar office software
Ability to problem solve and independently make decisions in a deadline-driven environment

Preferred

Professional experience in a university setting
