Human Resources Generalist

Responsibilities

Complete employment verifications and maintain accurate employee records
Support HRBP with new hire orientation and onboarding, including coordination of essential technology, systems access, credit card setup, and related resources
Assist with new hire orientation and ensure smooth integration into the organization
Collaborate with corporate COEs and local departments to ensure compliance with HR policies and procedures
Support HRBP in managing onboarding logistics and documentation
Manage full-cycle recruiting for assigned positions, including job postings, sourcing, screening, interviewing, and offer management
Build and maintain talent pipelines for critical roles
Partner with hiring managers to understand workforce needs and deliver qualified candidates
Support with administration of collective bargaining agreements and ensure compliance with union requirements
Assist HRBPs with employee relations matters, including investigations, performance management, and conflict resolution
Maintain positive working relationships with union representatives and employees
Provide assistance to Head of HR with special projects and initiatives as needed
Act as a resource for employees and managers regarding HR policies, programs, and best practices

Required

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience); OR
Five (5) years' experience in the HR field; OR any appropriate combination of education and experience
Strong knowledge of HR practices, employment laws, and compliance requirements
Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Preferred

Experience in a unionized environment and working with collective bargaining agreements is preferred
Construction industry experience is preferred
Professional in Human Resources certification (SHRM/PHR) is preferred
