Electrical Engineer

They are seeking an Electrical Engineer to lead electrical engineering efforts, develop design approaches, and manage project execution while ensuring effective communication among stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Lead electrical engineering efforts across all phases of project development, including client coordination, pre-design, final design, meetings, site visits, and project management
Develop conceptual electrical design approaches for diverse project types and oversee all electrical engineering work within the office
Apply independent judgment to evaluate, adapt, and modify standard techniques and procedures to meet project needs
Demonstrate strong knowledge of consulting and construction practices, including plan/specifications, design/build, and construction management roles
Supervise design progress and coordinate with local and state agencies, officials, and external stakeholders
Resolve complex challenges such as conflicting design requirements, material limitations, and coordination issues
Act as liaison between clients, subcontractors, and design teams to ensure smooth communication and execution
Prepare electrical construction drawings (single-line diagrams, layouts, sections, elevations, and details), technical specifications, contract documents, and cost estimates. Participate in bidding, contract administration, and on-site project management
Perform electrical systems analysis, including arc flash, short circuit, and coordination studies using power system analysis software
Understand power system protection and relaying schemes for electrical distribution systems
Take on additional responsibilities as needed

Required

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering required
5-10+ years of experience in electrical engineering (open to a range of experience levels)
Strong problem-solving skills

Ability to manage multiple priorities

Preferred

Professional Engineer license preferred but not mandatory
Proficiency with AutoCAD and power system analysis tools such as SKM or ETAP preferred
