Technical Drafter

Responsibilities

Translates engineering requirements into product definition data (e.g., detail, assembly and installation drawings, Computer Aided Drafting (CAD) data, Bill of Material (BOM) etc.) to communicate requirements to downstream customers
Validates completed product definition data to Company and industry standards
Creates and maintains product definition data processes
Maintains product/part structure and configuration management of product components

Required

1+ years of CATIA or other related CAD software experience
Skill and ability to: collect, organize, synthesize, and analyze data; summarize findings; develop conclusions and recommendations from appropriate data sources
Knowledge of design and drafting methods (e.g., orthographic projection, descriptive geometry, layout, geometric dimensioning & tolerancing, coordinate systems, etc.) as applied to manual drafting and/or computer-aided design tools in the creation of drawings and datasets
Ability to read, understand and interpret engineering technical information (e.g., drawings, handbooks, industry standards and specifications)
Knowledge of configuration management principles and processes to maintain the integrity of data (e.g., revision level, naming conventions, product identification numbering systems) and numerically controlled media
Ability to determine the process to be used to accomplish goals, properly document processes, know how to organize people and activities, understand how to separate and combine tasks into efficient work flow, identify opportunities for synergy and integration, and simplify complex processes

Preferred
