Responsibilities
Architect and maintain enterprise-scale CI/CD pipelines for cloud products and data platforms
Enable frequent, reliable releases using blue/green, canary, and zero-downtime deployment strategies
Design reusable, modular Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, ARM/Bicep, CloudFormation, and Ansible
Build cloud-agnostic platform components to support product portability and scale
Implement high availability, auto-scaling, backup, and disaster recovery strategies suitable for SaaS and product platforms
Own and operate 24×7 production environments supporting customer-facing products
Partner with data and platform engineering teams to operationalize: Distributed compute (Spark, Databricks, managed services)
Batch and streaming ETL/ELT pipelines
Open table formats such as Iceberg, Delta Lake, or Hudi
Manage modern Data Lakes and Lakehouse’s across: AWS: S3, EMR, Glue, Redshift, Athena; Azure: ADLS Gen2, Synapse, Databricks, Data Factory; GCP: GCS, Big Query, Dataproc, Dataflow
Drive reliability through SLIs, SLOs, and production readiness reviews
Containerize microservices and platform components using Docker
Deploy and operate Kubernetes platforms: EKS, AKS, GKE
Manage Helm charts, Kubernetes manifests, and GitOps workflows
Implement observability, alerting, and incident response using Prometheus, Grafana, Open Telemetry, and cloud-native tools
Embed security-by-design practices (IAM, secrets management, vulnerability scanning, policy enforcement)
Lead post-incident reviews and root cause analysis for production issues
Mentor junior engineers and influence DevOps standards and best practices
Continuously evaluate tools and processes to improve developer productivity and platform resilience
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline
10–12 years of hands-on experience in DevOps, Platform Engineering, or SRE roles
Proven experience working in Product Companies or Product Engineering environments
Strong hands-on expertise across multi-cloud platforms — AWS, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
Deep experience designing and implementing cloud-agnostic Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform (mandatory), with exposure to ARM/Bicep, CloudFormation, and Ansible
Strong experience with Docker and Kubernetes across EKS, AKS, and GKE
Advanced understanding of CI/CD pipelines, release automation, and Git-based workflows
Experience operating high-availability, customer-facing production systems with real SLAs/SLOs
Strong scripting and automation skills using Python, Bash/Shell, or similar languages
Solid understanding of Data Lake and Lakehouse architectures, including Medallion Architecture (Bronze–Silver–Gold)
Hands-on or working knowledge of distributed data platforms such as Apache Spark, Databricks, AWS Glue, and open table formats like Iceberg, Delta Lake, or Hudi
Strong experience with monitoring, observability, and incident management, including root cause analysis
Excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work closely with product, engineering, and leadership teams
