Responsibilities

Develop methods utilizing Surface Plasmon Resonance (SPR) to characterize interactions between challenging protein targets and small molecules
Explore protein engineering and other biophysical techniques that can impact early chemical matter progression
Obtain exposure to critical assays and strategies in early drug discovery

Required

Must be pursuing a Bachelor's Degree (enrolled student)
Must have attained a Bachelor's Degree (not currently enrolled in a graduate program)
Must be pursuing a Master's Degree (enrolled student)
Must have attained a Master's Degree
Must be pursuing a PhD (enrolled student)
Required Majors: Biochemistry, Biophysics, Chemical Engineering, Bioengineering, Biological Sciences, Pharmacology or a related field
Prior wet lab experience in a biochemistry or biophysics-based lab and development of in vitro assays, SPR, NMR, or other biophysics techniques

Preferred

Background in biophysical techniques such as SPR, Mass spectrometry, NMR, X-ray crystallography
Prior experience with membrane proteins (purification and/or assay development) is preferred
Prior experience studying binding interactions between proteins and small molecules is preferred
Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills
