Police Accreditation Manager (PT)
NEOGOV is seeking a Police Accreditation Manager to oversee the administrative requirements for CALEA accreditation compliance. The role involves managing accreditation processes, analyzing data, and providing leadership and support to staff involved in accreditation activities.

Responsibilities
Manages administrative requirements to meet accreditation compliance standards set by Commission on Accreditation of Law Enforcement Agencies (CALEA). Reviews and interprets CALEA standards and applies to written agency directives for purposes of CALEA compliance
Plans and conducts research on accreditation projects and develops, recommends, and implements courses of action
Keeps informed about changes in standards and current laws. Recommends policy adjustments as needed. Analyzes data and develop strategies for assisting staff in meeting regular deadlines with annual policy reviews
Creates, maintains, revises and organizes departmental data as needed using Power DMS software. Prepares and submits Department Annual Report to CALEA
Provides leadership to professional and support personnel involved in accreditation activities to include mentoring, coaching and training, developing work plans, and reviewing work for completion
Assists the general public, other government agencies and employees with questions or complaints concerning the accreditation process and/or compliance
Performs other related duties as required
Qualification
Required
Graduation from high school
Three or more years experience as a certified accreditation manager with focus on CALEA accreditation for law enforcement and communications
Must have an understanding of Suffolk Police Department policy and procedure
Must have a strong understanding of PowerDMS
Possession of a valid driver's license
CALEA Training required
Must be able to pass a CJIS background check
