Research Study Assistant - 50% FTE

Responsibilities

Review databases for potentially eligible participants
Conduct email, phone, and occasional in-person community outreach
Screen subjects for participation using a REDCap database
Inform participants about the study using study-approved participant materials
Work with participants from marginalized background to ensure their needs are documented and met before appointments
Review and explain consent forms with participants
Obtain informed consent from participants via a REDCap e-consent platform
Attend in-person events and represent the study team while interacting with the community and attendees
Conduct basic research assessments as needed
Record outcomes in tracking sheets and REDCap
Assist in recording sensitive health data in multiple REDCap databases
Ensure accuracy of entered and existing records
Perform basic data analysis and summarize results as needed
Maintain confidentiality of participant records
Collaborate with Research Coordinator and Principal Investigators and assist with other duties as needed

Required

Two years of college-level course work in a relevant academic area AND one year of appropriate experience
Equivalent education and/or experience may substitute for minimum qualifications except when there are legal requirements, such as a license, certification, and/or registration

Preferred

Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively, prioritize, multi-task, and to be well organized, with thorough attention to detail
Working knowledge of Word, Excel, e-mail, Outlook calendar, internet/intranet, Zoom, and other similar computer applications
Demonstrated excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
Ability to develop and maintain credible working relationships with research participants, clinical staff, and administrative staff
Ability to work with a diverse group of people; ability to work independently with occasional oversight; ability to trouble-shoot and solve problems
Experience using REDCap for data collection and e-consenting
Past research or clinical experience working with AI/AN populations
Cultural and historical knowledge of AI/AN tribal nations and people living in the Greater Seattle area. Lived experience is a plus
Experience conducting research screenings or recruiting research participants
