Inside Sales Representative- State, Local, and Education
HP is seeking a motivated Inside Sales Representative to join their dynamic Public Sector Sales Team, focusing on the State, Local, and Education (SLED) market. The role involves managing and growing accounts in Tennessee and Indiana, delivering technology solutions to empower government and educational institutions.

Responsibilities
Conduct proactive outreach to SLED customers in Tennessee and Indiana, driving new business and expanding existing relationships
Consistently meet or exceed assigned sales targets through effective pipeline management and strategic account planning
Understand customer challenges and objectives; position HP solutions to deliver measurable value
Apply business acumen to align customer needs with HP’s offerings; involve field sales for complex opportunities
Identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities within existing accounts; maintain strong customer relationships
Maintain accurate sales forecasts, pipeline data, and CRM updates in Salesforce
Partner with field sales, marketing, and technical teams to execute campaigns and improve win rates
Stay informed on SLED trends, procurement cycles, and competitive landscape to drive strategic decisions
Up to 25% travel for customer meetings, events, and relationship building
Qualification
Required
High School Diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree preferred
2–4 years of inside sales or telesales experience, ideally in technology or public sector markets
Proven success in quota attainment and managing complex sales cycles
Strong knowledge of consultative selling techniques and CRM tools
Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
Preferred
Certified Inside Sales Professional (CISP) or similar credential
Familiarity with public sector procurement processes and SLED market dynamics
Knowledge of New Business and Acquisition Accounts
