Responsibilities

Serve as the primary financial advisor and day-to-day contact for a portfolio of clients

Lead monthly close cycles and present financial results and insights to clients

Ensure timely, accurate, and high-quality financial reporting

Manage and review work performed by 1-3 bookkeepers or staff accountants

Oversee AP/AR, bank reconciliations, and transactional accounting

Coach team members and uphold accounting best practices

Own month-end close, general ledger, and accrual-based accounting

Prepare and review reconciliations, journal entries, and supporting schedules

Reconcile tax returns to financial statements and resolve variances

Maintain service quality, deadlines, and budget expectations

Identify workflow improvements and operational efficiencies

Implement and optimize cloud-based accounting tools and system integrations
