Project Accountant

The Project Accountant will manage all project accounting tasks, ensuring accurate billing and financial reporting while coordinating with project management and subcontractors.

Responsibilities
Maintain organized project contract files
Full understanding of AIA G702 and G703
Coordinate subcontractor invoices and payments per contract terms and enter in the system
Review project labor and expense charges with Project Managers for accuracy and appropriateness
Analyze projects; generate job costing reports to provide meaningful input to project teams and office management
Interact with clients and vendors in a professional, courteous manner
Full understanding of Timberline BL, PJ, JC, AP modules
Knowledge of Microsoft Excel
Review sub-contractors’ statements
Provide full backup billing of CM Job
Qualification
Required
Construction industry experience required
Knowledge of commonly used concepts, functions, practices, and procedures within the construction field including cost coding and pricing, purchase orders, etc
Ability to multi-task, prioritize and stay flexible, while meeting deadlines and goals
5+ years of experience in a similar position
Excellent computer literacy including experience with Microsoft Office product applications (ex. Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.)
Proficiency in business software application Timberline
Preferred
4 Year College Accounting Degree preferred
Full understanding of AIA G702 and G703
Full understanding of Timberline BL, PJ, JC, AP modules
