Senior Manager Global Payroll

They are seeking a Senior Manager, Global Payroll to lead and evolve payroll operations across a multinational organization, ensuring accurate and compliant payroll delivery while improving processes and employee experience.

Responsibilities
Own end-to-end payroll processing for all global entities, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance across multiple countries and currencies
Partner with internal stakeholders and external payroll providers to deliver seamless payroll operations
Establish and maintain strong payroll controls, audits, and reconciliation processes
Ensure compliance with all applicable local, state/provincial, and national payroll laws and regulations
Manage relationships with global payroll vendors, tax providers, and benefits partners
Serve as the primary escalation point for complex payroll issues, ensuring timely resolution
Partner closely with People Operations, Total Rewards, Finance, Accounting, and Legal teams
Lead payroll process improvements, automation, and standardization initiatives to support global growth
Document and maintain global payroll procedures, controls, and governance frameworks
Support payroll aspects of acquisitions, integrations, and new country expansions
Drive continuous improvement in employee payroll experience and service delivery
Provide leadership and guidance to payroll team members or matrixed partners (as applicable)
Develop metrics, dashboards, and reporting to monitor payroll performance and risks
Ensure payroll data integrity across HRIS, timekeeping, equity, and finance systems
Qualification
Required
8+ years of progressive payroll experience, including global or multinational payroll leadership
Proven experience managing payroll across multiple countries and regions
Strong knowledge of payroll compliance, taxation, and regulatory requirements
Hands-on experience working with global payroll vendors and third-party providers
Exceptional attention to detail with a strong control mindset
Ability to operate strategically while remaining hands-on when needed
Strong project management, problem-solving, and process-design skills
Excellent communication skills and the ability to influence cross-functional partners
Experience with modern HRIS and payroll systems (e.g., Workday, ADP, iiPay, or similar)
Advanced Excel skills; comfort working with payroll data, reconciliations, and reporting
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, Business, or a related field required
Preferred
Experience integrating payroll with finance systems preferred
