EFD- Aircraft Mechanic III - Structures
Yulista Solutions LLC is looking for an Aircraft Mechanic III - Structures to perform a variety of tasks on airplane general, airframe, and powerplant systems. The role includes assembling structural parts, assessing damage, advising on repairs, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.

Responsibilities
Assembles structural parts and components to meet requirements for preserving structural integrity
Assesses damage to aircraft structural components
Advises on structural repair, modification, and corrosion protection treatment with respect to original strength, weight, and contour to maintain structural integrity
Perform maintenance on aircraft, including avionics, mechanical systems, and/or ground support equipment
Repair, inspect and maintain structural, mechanical and electrical elements of the aircraft
Ensures aircraft component balance is maintained
Assembles repairs using special fasteners and adhesives
Checks repairs for serviceability according to specifications and technical publications
Manufactures jigs, fixtures, forms, and molds
Uses metalworking equipment and tools to form, cut, bend, and fasten replacement or repair parts to damaged structures and components
Knowledgeable in the use of, and be able to train others in the use of a wide variety of computers, hand and mechanical tools
Provide oversight and have the ability to direct and train others in the completion of aircraft related maintenance tasks
May include Designated System Inspector (DSI) duties
Troubleshoot systems as required to meet customer needs
Document maintenance as per Quality Assurance (QA) and established regulatory requirements
Perform regular Foreign Object Damage (FOD) walks
Maintain tool control
Report missing, lost, found, or unattended tools to the supervisor
Inventory and inspect tools on a regular basis and replace worn or broken tools
Comply with safety rules and regulations while performing day to day maintenance
Promptly report all accidents, injuries, safety violations, and/or unsafe practices or procedures to supervisor
Use NASA’s automated maintenance data system (NAMIS) to maintain equipment records
Enter in the maintenance records description of the work performed and verify the work was performed satisfactorily
The Aircraft Mechanic Sheet Metal may be required to perform other related duties to meet the ongoing needs of the organization
Qualification
Required
High School Diploma or equivalent required
Requires a Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Airframe and Powerplant certification
10 + years of aircraft maintenance experience with fixed wing aircraft, commercial, Government or DOD aircraft required
Aircraft structural repair experience required
Experience supporting a NASA/DoD contract
Knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within the field required
Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a Government Security Clearance
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and aircraft drawings
Strong knowledge of use of shop equipment to form, shape, and fabricate metal and composite parts. For example: panels, doors, fairings, and aircraft skins
Must be able to travel domestically and internationally
Preferred
Prefer T-38 TALON or DoD Aircraft Experience
