Responsibilities
Perform preventive maintenance; inspecting equipment and materials for proper installation and potential problems or hazards
Replace, install and test residential and commercial meters
Utilize specialized equipment and computers to analyze data and enter field work orders
Assist customers with on-site questions and concerns regarding utility services
Complete forms and report detailed activities and findings
Maintain and stock assigned service truck with necessary equipment and materials used to complete tasks
Work in confined spaces; also involves squatting, kneeling, lifting and excavating with shovels and other hand tools
Performing other duties of a similar nature or level
Qualification
Required
High School Diploma, or G.E.D., and two years of related work experience; or, an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above
Valid driver's license of residency
Valid Georgia Commercial Driver's License
Water Distribution/Wastewater Collection License
Confined Space certification within 6 months
High School Diploma, or G.E.D., and four years of related work experience; or, an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above
