Assistant Dean for Financial Planning and Analysis
Tulane University is seeking an Assistant Dean for Financial Planning and Analysis responsible for overseeing financial affairs and data reporting for the A.B. Freeman School of Business. Responsibilities
Responsible for all financial affairs and financial data reporting and financial analytics for the A.B. Freeman School of Business
Responsible for developing the School’s annual budget, monthly financial reconciliations, and providing financial and budgetary projections and guidance to the Dean, Chief Business Officer, and members of the Dean’s leadership team
Acts as the School’s primary financial data officer, supporting and coordinating with other units on the School’s responses to the surveys and reports related to financial reporting
Provides data analyses as requested by the dean and leadership team
Qualification
Required
Strong financial/accounting knowledge and skills, including familiarity with non-profit accounting systems
Demonstrated knowledge and skills in computer software applications such as financial spreadsheets, database management and specialized financial and budgetary systems utilized by educational institutions
Excellent organization, interpersonal and communications skills, including the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment with senior-level School and University staff and administrators
Masters of Business Administration or CPA Certification plus five (5) years of relevant work experience
Bachelor's degree in business, data analytics or relevant field and seven (7) years of relevant work experience
Preferred
Experience in the financial operations of an institution for higher education
