Responsibilities
Create technical clothing patterns from scratch based on designer sketches and creative direction
Adjust and refine existing patterns to achieve optimal fit, performance, and consistency for women’s athletic wear
Assess garment fit through fittings and make precise pattern corrections and measurements
Apply deep knowledge of garment construction , particularly for knit performance apparel (wovens acceptable but knits preferred)
Develop and maintain detailed technical documentation , including measurements, construction details, and fit notes
Collaborate cross-functionally with Designers, Developers, and Technical teams to ensure patterns meet design intent and performance requirements
Act as a potential athlete-facing representative , communicating fit, function, and performance considerations professionally and clearly
Use digital tools and systems to document pattern changes, feedback, and approvals
Qualification
Required
Minimum 5+ years of experience as a Technical Designer or Pattern Engineer specializing in pattern creation and adjustment
Proven ability to build technical garment patterns from scratch or modify existing patterns for women's athletic apparel
Strong understanding of knit garment construction; experience with wovens is a plus
Demonstrated expertise in fit assessment, measurements, and garment construction techniques
Portfolio showcasing pattern engineering expertise, technical complexity, and relevant apparel examples
Ability to work closely with designers and translate creative sketches into precise technical patterns
