Responsibilities
Lead the corporate and plant accounting team of 10 across GL, AP/AR, payroll, and close
Own the monthly close and reporting cadence for executive leadership and PE stakeholders
Oversee cost accounting, inventory, job costing, and commodities valuation
Implement and maintain strong internal controls and audit-ready processes
Drive working capital optimization and partner with operations on costing and inventory
Standardize accounting policies and reporting across multi-site operations
Lead process improvements, system integrations, and automation
Provide technical accounting leadership for M&A, integrations, and complex transactions
Partner with the CFO and PE sponsors on diligence and post-close execution
Manage audits, tax compliance, and regulatory filings
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's in Accounting or Finance; CPA required
10+ years of manufacturing accounting experience, including cost accounting and inventory
Strong GAAP, controls, and systems expertise (Microsoft Dynamics preferred)
Proven leader of accounting teams
Must be based in metro Atlanta; 25-30% travel to plant sites required

Background in private equity or post-acquisition environments strongly preferred
