Required

High school diploma or equivalent required

Prior experience in reception or customer services required

Clerical - Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as word processing, managing files and records, designing forms, and other office procedures and terminology

Communication - Effective written and oral communication skills to explain complex issues, exchange information between team members, and tactfully discuss issues

Customer Service - Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer service

Time Management - Ability to organize, plan and prioritize work to complete within required time frames and to follow-up on pending issues

Confidentiality - Knowledge of State and Federal (HIPAA) laws pertaining to confidentiality of protected health information

Medical Terminology - Knowledge of medical records, procedures and terminology

Preferred

Associate's degree preferred

Experience or training in medical terminology strongly preferred

Prior experience in a hospital or medical office setting preferred
