Training & Professional Development Manager

Kids' Voice of Indiana is dedicated to supporting individuals engaged in complex and vital work through effective learning. The Training & Professional Development Manager is responsible for designing and delivering impactful learning experiences for staff and volunteers, overseeing training projects, and collaborating with various stakeholders to enhance organizational learning and effectiveness.

Responsibilities

Design, curate, and facilitate engaging learning experiences grounded in adult learning principles
Lead onboarding and ongoing professional development for staff and volunteers
Review and refine learning content regularly to ensure relevance, accessibility, and impact
Lead learning and training projects from planning through implementation
Track participation, outcomes, and impact to support continuous improvement and reporting
Support grant-related documentation and reporting tied to training initiatives
Partner with subject matter experts, program leaders, and community partners to design learning solutions that drive organizational change
Collaborate across teams on initiatives that strengthen volunteer engagement and staff effectiveness
Maintain learning calendars, systems, and tools
Stay informed about best practices in learning and development, nonprofit training, and trauma-informed approaches

Required

Experience in learning and development, training facilitation, instructional design, or curriculum development
Experience managing projects and collaborating with multiple stakeholders
Ability to track outcomes and use data to inform learning decisions

Preferred

Experience in nonprofit, child-serving, or volunteer-based organizations
Familiarity with adult learning principles and/or trauma-informed practices
