Director of Business Development
Journey is seeking a Director of Logistics Sales to lead strategic business development initiatives and expand market presence. The role involves building and leading a sales team, driving new business acquisition, and maintaining customer relationships to deliver customized logistics solutions.
Responsibilities
Build, develop and lead your hand-selected team of sales professionals
Drive new business acquisition
Lead the development and execution of strategic sales plans
Build and maintain customer relationships, delivering customized freight and logistics solutions
Analyze industry trends and sales data to identify growth opportunities
Lead proposal and contract negotiations
Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, carrier sales, and marketing
Qualification
Required
7+ years of Freight Brokerage Customers Sales Leadership
Proven success leading enterprise business development
Deep knowledge of transportation markets, supply chain operations, and customer acquisition strategies
Strong negotiation, presentation, and leadership skills with the ability to inspire a team
CRM proficiency
On site in new office based in Tampa, FL
Preferred
Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business, or related field, preferred
Cross-border (U.S., Mexico, Canada) experience a plus
