Inside Higher Ed is seeking an Adjunct Biology Instructor for the Spring 2026 term. The role involves teaching college-level Biology courses, preparing lecture and lesson plans, and ensuring adherence to lab safety protocols.

Responsibilities

Teach one or two college Biology courses in general Biology (majors and non-majors), Microbiology, or Anatomy & Physiology disciplines

Prepare lecture and lesson plans according to departmental syllabus and learning objectives, teach lecture and lab portion of class in-person, grade student work, and observe chemical and other lab safety protocols

Qualification

Master’s degree in Biological SciencesTeaching experienceLab safety protocolsLecture preparationGrading student work

Required

Master's degree in Biological Sciences or Master's degree in related field with 18 graduate hours in Biological Sciences or Biological Sciences subdisciplines

Preferred

Experience teaching at the community college or college level preferred (not required)
