Responsibilities

Assist in the documentation, correspondence, notification, and planning activities around housing initiatives as directed by the Assistant City Manager

As assigned, arrange and coordinate internal and public meetings around housing. Provides administrative support and serves as recording secretary for any meetings scheduled throughout the year around housing. Meetings may be held during the day, evening hours, and weekends

Composes and types correspondence as needed; proofread and edit department documents for proper grammar, punctuation, and accuracy as needed

Develops and maintains contact with local agencies working on housing solutions

Plans, implements and manages complex clerical assignments and projects; collects and analyzes information; prepares summary reports for supervisory review

Conducts preliminary research or analysis for special projects as directed by the Assistant City Manager or his/her designee

The Housing Assistant must have flexible hours of availability to meet the needs of the public which includes short, long and/or irregular hours
