Data Analyst (Marketing & Attribution)
Parallel Distribution is a traffic and distribution studio that helps brands drive organic growth at scale across platforms like TikTok and Reddit. They are seeking a Data Analyst to synthesize, analyze, and report on large-scale social and app performance data, translating raw data into actionable insights while collaborating with various teams.
Responsibilities
Own the end-to-end analytics workflow for social and app performance, from raw data ingestion to executive and client-ready insights
Collect, clean, and analyze data from internal TikTok and Reddit systems tracking thousands of posts per day
Build and maintain internal and client-facing performance reports that clearly communicate impact and results
Synthesize metrics including CPM, CAC, ROAS, engagement rates, conversion rates, and install lift
Design, improve, and document attribution frameworks for large-scale organic social activity
Build repeatable reporting systems and analytics processes rather than one-off analyses
Identify trends, anomalies, and performance drivers across high-volume datasets
Help define how organic social distribution influences AI discovery, citations, and downstream demand
Support funnel analysis for mobile apps, including acquisition, activation, retention, and drop-off points
Analyze and support A/B testing across app onboarding, features, and creative strategies
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Statistics, Computer Science, Marketing Analytics, or a related quantitative field
Strong foundation in analytical thinking, statistics, or quantitative problem-solving
6+ months of professional experience in data analysis, analytics, or a related role
Strong proficiency in Excel / Google Sheets (pivot tables, formulas, large datasets)
Experience working with marketing or performance data (social, growth, or app analytics)
Comfortable analyzing large, messy datasets and turning them into clear insights
Strong written communication skills; you can explain numbers to non-technical audiences
Ability to work in person in our NYC office
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable in a fast-moving startup environment
Preferred
Familiarity with social media metrics (TikTok, Reddit, or similar platforms)
Understanding of attribution models (last-click, multi-touch, blended organic impact)
Experience with mobile app analytics or funnels (installs, onboarding, retention, A/B tests)
Basic SQL or Python experience for data analysis (not required but a plus)
Experience building dashboards or recurring reporting systems
Interest in performance marketing, growth, and experimentation
