Tax Auditor III
The Florida Department of Revenue is seeking a Tax Auditor III to join their General Tax Administration program. The role involves performing audits of taxpayers and businesses to ensure compliance with Florida Statutes, analyzing accounting systems, computing tax assessments, and preparing detailed audit reports.

Responsibilities
Independently performs audits of taxpayers and businesses in a variety of industries to determine compliance with Florida Statutes
Examines and analyzes taxpayers' accounting systems
Computes tax assessments or refund adjustments
Prepares detailed reports of audit results
Independently conducts conferences with taxpayers and/or taxpayers' representatives
Qualification
Required
Four years of accounting or auditing experience at a paraprofessional level
Bachelor's degree in accounting or business with a minimum of three accounting courses or two accounting courses and one tax course
This position requires the use of a personal vehicle to conduct work assignments
This position may require travel, which may include multiple overnight stays
College transcripts documenting education requirements must be submitted with the application and resume
