Senior Product Manager | AI-native startup (Bessemer led)
One Eighty Collective is an AI-native startup focused on building modern software for government agencies. They are seeking a Senior Product Manager who can embed with clients, translate needs into product direction, and work closely with engineers to deliver solutions quickly.
Responsibilities
Embed with clients to understand workflows, pain points, and requirements
Translate ambiguous and verbalized needs into clear product direction and build plans
Partner directly with engineers to ship working software quickly - without formal tickets or long planning cycles
Leverage AI-native tools (like Claude Code) to prototype, iterate, and scale solutions
Own product delivery quality and ensure outcomes that meet and exceed client expectations
Identify opportunities to reuse and modularize solutions for deployment across other clients
Travel to client sites a few times per month to build relationships and context
Balance immediate client needs with long-term platform thinking
Qualification
Required
High learning velocity and intense intellectual curiosity
Experience as a Product Manager or Product Consultant, ideally in the AI space
Proven track record in ambiguous, high-agency environments - startups, product consulting, management consulting, VC/PE-backed orgs, or research-heavy roles
Strong communicator who can build trust with senior stakeholders, especially in public sector contexts
Hands-on builder mindset who thrives on ownership and loves solving problems
AI-native approach to product development; comfortable using tools like Claude Code daily
Preferred
Bonus if you have prior experience with the public sector/civic tech or experience as an Engineer, but neither is required
