Responsibilities

Provide advanced, day-to-day operational support for local area and wide area network infrastructure to maintain optimal uptime and performance
Serve as a third-level escalation resource for complex network issues, researching, troubleshooting, and resolving incidents and service requests
Identify root causes of network issues, document findings, and implement sustainable corrective actions to prevent recurrence
Monitor network health and performance, analyze trends, and proactively address potential risks before they impact availability or service levels
Configure, maintain, and support routers, switches, firewalls, and virtual private network devices in alignment with established standards and best practices
Perform network configuration and limited design work to support approved business initiatives without direct supervision
Support project-based work by implementing network solutions, coordinating timelines, and ensuring successful integration with existing infrastructure
Manage installation and deployment of network equipment at remote locations, coordinating on-site associates and external service providers as needed
Collaborate closely with other information technology teams and business partners to ensure network solutions align with operational and security requirements
Maintain accurate documentation of network environments, configurations, procedures, and changes
Follow applicable privacy, security, and compliance standards when supporting and maintaining network infrastructure

Required

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related discipline with an information technology focus, or equivalent professional experience
5+ years of hands-on networking experience supporting enterprise environments
Demonstrated knowledge of configuring and managing network equipment from Cisco and Fortinet
Strong understanding of voice and data networking protocols and technologies
Working knowledge of physical cabling standards and troubleshooting techniques
Understanding of applicable privacy, security, and data protection standards
Proven ability to apply structured troubleshooting methods to isolate issues and resolve root causes
Ability to research unfamiliar or complex network problems, test solutions, and document outcomes clearly
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to document technical environments and explain concepts clearly
Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively in a dynamic operational environment
Ability to work collaboratively and professionally with technical and non-technical partners
Strong customer service mindset with a focus on reliability and responsiveness

Network+ certification
Security+ certification
Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or higher-level Cisco certification
Fortinet Network Security (NSE) certification level 4 or higher
