Responsibilities
Providing research support in the Liquid Biopsy Laboratory
Providing research support for medical oncologists and other clinical research coordinators in the cancer clinics
Communicate with oncologists, clinical research staff, and patients as you screen for study inclusion, recruit and consent subjects, and arrange laboratory procedures
Learn how to handle human specimens, process and bank samples, and ship samples to collaborators
Conduct preliminary analyses, and prepare summary figures and texts for manuscripts
Assist and receive support from your colleagues in other study areas
Perform data entry in clinical study databases such as REDCap, VELOS Clinical Trial Management System, patient medical charts, and Excel files
Abstracting data from medical records
Independently design study databases and perform database quality control checks with minimal supervision
Qualification
Required
Interest in a career in health care or clinical research
Excellent organization and communication skills
Ability to handle human specimens
Experience with data entry in clinical study databases such as REDCap and VELOS Clinical Trial Management System
Ability to abstract data from medical records
Ability to independently design study databases
Ability to perform database quality control checks with minimal supervision
