Responsibilities
Contacts payers to request service authorization
Collects financial and/or demographic information from patients and clinical information from patient charts, orders, or providers
Qualification
Required
Previous customer service experience
At least two years of experience in a healthcare setting performing related tasks
Familiarity with healthcare insurance processes
Preferred
Associate degree in healthcare or business administration and/or related coursework
Successful completion of courses in medical terminology and human anatomy
Experience with EPIC information systems
