Project Policy Analyst
UC Irvine is a prestigious public university known for its academic achievement and research. The Project Policy Analyst will conduct and support analytical studies to address various policy and procedural issues within the Department of Medicine, while also supporting department-wide projects and initiatives.

Responsibilities
Conduct and/or support analytical studies or projects of moderate scope and complexity to address a variety of policy, research, administrative and procedural issues
Fully analyze issues and problems, gather data and information, find and evaluate alternatives and make sound recommendations
Support department wide projects such as the state of the department, marketing and business development projects, department/division websites, social media, faculty profiles, and standard operating procedures, and department hosted retreats and programs
Qualification
Required
Working knowledge of common organization- or research-specific and other computer application programs
Proficient in communication and interpersonal skills to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
Ability to use discretion and maintain all confidentiality
Demonstrates ability to use sound judgment in responding to issues and concerns
Demonstrates ability to analyze, research and synthesize large amounts of data with strong attention to detail
General knowledge of the usage and applications of electronic communication tools and social media platforms, and skill in using same
General knowledge and understanding of organization's processes, procedures, and applicable rules and regulations for web communications
Thorough technical skills in computer applications for web production, image handling, publishing and design, illustration, presentation preparation, animation, web interaction, and / or other state-of-the-art web communication capabilities
Proficient in ability to multi-task with demanding timeframes
Acquiring knowledge of applicable policy analysis techniques
Working knowledge of applicable policy analysis techniques
Knowledge of Microsoft applications
Bachelor's degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training
3-5 years relevant experience
