Responsibilities
Software Development: Design and implement embedded software components using C and Embedded C , adhering to MISRA C guidelines for safety and portability
AUTOSAR Integration: Configure and integrate AUTOSAR Basic Software (BSW) stacks (e.g., Communication, Memory, Diagnostics) and the Runtime Environment (RTE)
MCAL Development: Develop and configure Microcontroller Abstraction Layer (MCAL) drivers for peripherals like SPI, I2C, UART, PWM, and ADC
Communication Protocols: Implement and debug automotive communication protocols including CAN, CAN-FD, LIN, and Ethernet (DoIP)
Diagnostics: Develop diagnostic services following the ISO 14229 (UDS) standard and manage Fault Code (DTC) storage and reporting
Toolchain Management: Utilize industry-standard tools like Vector DaVinci Configurator/Developer , ETAS ISOLAR , or EB Tresos for system configuration
Testing & Debugging: Perform unit testing, static analysis (QAC/Polyspace), and system-level debugging using oscilloscopes , logic analyzers , and JTAG debuggers (e.g., Lauterbach)
Compliance: Ensure software aligns with ISO 26262 (Functional Safety) and ASPICE process standards
Qualification
Required
Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
Experience: 3+ years of professional experience in embedded software development, specifically within the automotive sector
C Mastery: Expert-level proficiency in C, including deep knowledge of pointers, memory management, bitwise operations, and interrupt handling
AUTOSAR Knowledge: Proven experience with Classic AUTOSAR (Adaptive AUTOSAR is a major plus)
Microcontrollers: Experience with 16/32-bit automotive MCUs (e.g., Infineon AURIX, NXP S32K, or ST SPC5)
Preferred
Experience with Model-Based Design (MBD) using MATLAB/Simulink
Familiarity with Cybersecurity in automotive (HSM, Secure Boot)
Scripting skills in Python or CAPL for test automation
Knowledge of Real-Time Operating Systems (RTOS) such as OSEK or FreeRTOS
