Director of Information Technology
Confidential is a national law firm supporting complex, high-impact litigation, and they are seeking a senior IT leader. This role involves owning and operating all IT infrastructure, systems, and security while also leading a small internal IT team.

Responsibilities
Own and operate all infrastructure, systems, and security
Design and maintain scalable, reliable architecture to support firm growth
Proactively manage patching, updates, and system health across the environment
Lead and mentor a small internal IT team
Implement automation across user, endpoint, and system administration
Manage security tooling including MDR, SIEM, DLP, and email security
Oversee server, virtualization, and cloud administration
Partner with leadership to align IT priorities with business needs
Qualification
Required
10–15+ years in systems administration and IT infrastructure
Experience owning IT for organizations of ~50–100+ employees
Background in security-conscious or regulated environments
Prior leadership experience while remaining deeply technical
Track record of proactive infrastructure and security management
Automated user and machine administration at scale
RMM platforms and endpoint patching
Scripting and cloud data administration
MDR, SIEM, and DLP implementation and management
Server and virtualization environments
Email security: DNS, SPF, DKIM, DMARC
Systems architecture and integration for mid-sized organizations
Strong security-first mindset
Clear communicator with non-technical executives
Strategic thinker with a long-term view
Proactive, solutions-oriented problem solver
Broad technical generalist who sees the full systems picture
Preferred
Legal industry experience (law firms, legal tech, eDiscovery)
Security certifications (CISSP, CISM, Security+)
Experience working with or transitioning from MSPs
Experience in a highly-targeted industry
