Responsibilities

Providing administrative support to the Family and Consumer Science program area and the county Agent(s)

Reporting to an Extension Agent with high interaction with the general public

Assisting in Quickbooks, maintaining budget files, promoting and organizing new clubs, recruiting members and volunteer leaders, providing support and guidance to existing clubs, and recruiting and working with volunteers in conducting events and activities such as project groups, FCS achievement events, and public presentation programs

Job-related travel; visiting clientele at sites throughout the county (including farms); sitting/standing/walking for long periods; handling of average-weight objects up to 50 lbs

State law requires a national and state criminal background check and a letter from the Cabinet for Health and Family Services stating the employee is clear to hire based on no findings of substantiated child abuse or neglect found through a background check of child abuse and neglect records as a condition of employment or involvement in this program

Preferred

Education or previous experience in family and consumer sciences and previous experience working in an administrative support role
