Langan Engineering & Environmental Services is seeking an intern to join their Applied Technology team, specifically supporting the Data Management and Analytics (DMA) group. This role involves assisting with data organization, database loading, and quality checks for environmental projects, providing valuable mentorship and experience in environmental data and analytics.

Responsibilities

Assist with prepping tables, charts, and graphs for environmental project deliverables
Help review data for the accuracy, completeness and consistency
Support the setup, organization, and maintenance of project databases and data management systems
Work with data tools such as Microsoft Excel, EarthSoft’s EQuIS and SQL (training provided)
Collect and configure large datasets to meet project specifications
Collaborate with team members on data workflows, automation tools, and reporting needs

Required

Pursuing a bachelor's degree in environmental science, engineering, data science, computer science, geography or a related field
Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or greater
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Strong attention to detail
Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
Eagerness to learn, ask questions, and work both independently and collaboratively
Ability to work under pressure within tight schedules
Strong written and verbal communication skills

Preferred

Coursework or familiarity with data analytics, databases, dashboards, or GIS preferred
Experience or interest in technologies such as Power BI, SQL, R, Tableau, or EQuIS preferred
