Responsibilities

Performs all duties including, but not limited to: typing and PC applications, filing, business machine functions, telephone and written communications, and assists in the facilitation of quality patient care in collaboration with the Registered Nurse
Performs tasks that do not require nursing judgements or administration of medications

Qualification

BLS/CPR certificationPatient care experiencePC applications knowledgeOffice equipment knowledgeCustomer service orientationCommunication skillsInterpersonal skills

Required

High school graduate or equivalent
BLS/CPR certification and first aid training required
Good communication skills both oral and written
Good interpersonal skills required
Customer service oriented
PC and appropriate software knowledge
Knowledge of office equipment and supplies
A solid understanding of department related terminology

Preferred

Business school or formal secretarial training a plus
One to two years' minimum experience preferred
Patient care experience preferred
Mechanical aptitude and manual dexterity preferred
Service specific skills
