Responsibilities

Produce high-quality content for AI training, benchmarking, and locale-specific training across assigned languages

Perform detailed data annotation, transcription, and quality validation using internal tools such as GT+ and Sage Maker

No coding is required, but basic technical proficiency is expected

Develop and refine annotation guidelines in collaboration with the internal team

Conduct linguistic analysis and apply socio-linguistic knowledge, including regional conventions and language variation

Prompt LLMs to generate targeted responses and evaluate model outputs for accuracy and quality

Support general English tasks during language-specific downtime

Assist with cross-functional projects including Bedrock-related tasks or other AI initiatives

Participate in onboarding and follow provided guidelines to ensure consistency of deliverables

Work closely with a final review linguist during interview and project phases

Required

Degree in Linguistics, Language Studies or similar

Extensive and varied data annotation and validation experience. This includes: experience with annotating different modalities (text, image, structured data, etc.)

familiarity/understanding or experience with different types of annotation and evaluation: labeling model output, human evaluation (rating/ranking), generating query-answer pairs or similar content, NER (named entity recognition) annotation, etc

LLM evaluation and a general familiarity with LLM outputs; ability to talk about challenges of LLM

Technical skills: any of the following Excel (formulas, visuals, etc.), Python, CLI, etc. (we are not asking for a certain level of mastery: just enough to have it listed on the resume, which usually means significant enough to mention)

Preferred

Understanding/experience with Quality metrics implementation

Understanding/experience with data processing, automation
