Responsibilities
Performs responsibilities of crew leader to include assisting supervisor in completion of performance appraisals
Inspects grappler and completes inspection reports as required
Drives and operates grappler in a safe manner in accordance with safety rules and traffic laws
Drives truck and trailer as needed
Provides direction to operators on safety procedures and uses shortest route to landfill/brush site
Ensures that all brush and debris have been collected in assigned area
Performs routine operator maintenance on grappler, as needed
Works with assigned crew to separate metals, tires and other recyclable items from brush prior to loading, frequently lifting and carrying materials weighing 40 pounds
Records travel time of each assigned crewmember to and from loading site
Performs related duties and fulfills responsibilities as required
Qualification
Required
Formal or informal education or training which ensures the ability to read and write at a level necessary for successful job performance
Five (5) years of experience operating light, medium and heavy equipment to include two (2) years of experience operating a front end loader, bobcat, or other automated heavy equipment
Valid Texas Commercial 'A' Driver's License
