Licensed Architect - Dallas, TX
LM Consultants is seeking a Licensed Architect to provide due diligence, construction document reviews, and project management services to real estate developers, investors, and lenders. The role involves managing multiple projects, effective communication with clients, and participating in regional project management and training of staff.
Responsibilities
Conducts and prepares Property Evaluation Reports (PERs) / Property Condition Assessments (PCAs) for existing real estate properties, prepares cost estimates for immediate needs, reserves, and comments on the overall state of existing buildings
Prepares upfront plan and cost reviews for new construction developments or renovation projects while reviewing drawings and budgets, and reporting findings to clients in the form of Document and Cost Reviews
Ability to review and perform forensic investigations
Reads and understands the full scope of work and terms of agreements for each project
Experienced Architects and Professional Engineers will provide mentorship and oversight
Qualification
Required
Master of Architecture or 5-Year Professional Degree from an NAAB program
Obtained National Council of Architectural Registration Board (NCARB) certification
Holds a current and active license as an Architect within the United States
5 + years of experience in the architectural design and evaluation of building systems
Practices with a professional standard of care and within industry standards
Demonstrates sound professional judgement, reasoning, and problem-solving skills
Ability to review and assess to-be-built and existing building systems
Ability to perform site assessments and construction oversight
Demonstrates/Displays excellent time management and communication skills
Respectful with inter-company teams and departments
Demonstrates quality client interaction, development, and communication
Demonstrates/Displays excellent understanding and adherence to LM company policies and procedures
Demonstrates quality professional development of team members
Demonstrates/Displays excellent technical writing and oral communication skills
Ability to travel locally and nationally up to 25-50%
Competency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
Experience using CAD, PlanGrid, and online construction platforms
US Citizen, permanent resident, or eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship
