Start in 2026 WinterOklahoma State Fair, Inc. is seeking a seasonal Agribusiness Assistant/Intern to support various agricultural events and competitions during the 2026 Oklahoma State Fair. The role involves assisting with horse shows, livestock shows, and administrative duties while serving as a liaison for participants and the public.

Responsibilities
Assist with horse shows, livestock shows, and agricultural exhibit halls, including the creating, preparing and executing of agriculture-related competitions and events, for the annual Oklahoma State Fair
Serve as staff liaison, answering questions from potential participants, staff, officials and the public
Assist with correspondence and communication, updating database and data entry for show entries, as well as processing and inputting results during the Fair
Assist with administrative duties such as labeling packets, filing and creating documents, sorting supplies, and distributing credentials and materials
Serve as staff assistant during the Fair, processing competition entry forms, reports and other necessary forms as required for each event and each day of the Fair
Assist in the preparation of competition sites, arrangement and distribution of awards, processing results and tabulation. Responsibilities may require physical and manual labor
Assist in other departments and with other duties as needed and assigned
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or GED required
Knowledge of Microsoft software, especially Word, and Excel
Must be comfortable and knowledgeable with regard to working around animals
Interpersonal, organizational and problem-solving skills required
Utilize task prioritization and effective time management skills to meet frequent and competing deadlines in a high-volume, high-stress environment
Perform detailed work in a team-oriented, fast-paced, event-driven environment handling multiple tasks with flexibility in a calm, professional manner
Effectively communicate with others in a clear, business-like, respectful and personable manner focused on generating a positive, enthusiastic and cooperative environment
Maintain high standards of appearance and grooming (i.e., clean, wrinkle free clothing, proper uniform/attire, close attention to personal hygiene)
Meet the company standard for excellent attendance, job reliability, diligence and dedication
Possess a valid driver's license and a clean driving record
Speak, read and write in English
Regularly lift, carry and put away items weighing up to 25 lbs. and occasionally lift and carry heavier items and/or assist others in lifting heavier objects, as job demands
Walk and/or stand for extended periods in addition to other prolonged physical exertions including seeing, hearing, reaching, grasping, lifting, pushing, pulling, squatting, crouching, stooping, bending, kneeling, climbing, and working in awkward positions and tight areas may be required
Preferred
A basic knowledge of the livestock industry and competition requirements/protocol
Previous customer service or similar experience
