Hoover CS is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist responsible for resolving overdue bills and collecting on past due payments. The role includes managing customer accounts, minimizing DSO, and ensuring effective communication with clients and internal teams.

Responsibilities

Responsible for cash collections

Minimize DSO through effective administration of credit policies and collection efforts

Manage the collection of customer accounts

Assist with monthly close activities and audits of Accounts Receivable

Debit and credit memo processing

Manage and ensure the successful completion of day-to-day collection operations to the satisfaction of management

Maintain customer contact in a professional and courteous manner while insuring that credit exposure is limited and accounts receivable are collected in a timely manner

Work closely with Sales and Customer Service Teams to ensure that sales are optimized while keeping credit risk at acceptable levels

Ensure that Resale and Exemption Certificates are obtained and maintained on all qualifying customers purchasing from the company

Required

Minimum of 6 years of demonstrated on-going experience in collections and credit

Attention to detail and demonstrated quality and accuracy

Able to quickly build a rapport, confidence, and the trust of peers, employees, and executives

Excellent communication skills, internally and externally, when using such means as, but not limited to email, telephone, documents, and presentations

Ability to handle multiple concurrent tasks and work efficiently to see the work through to completion using sound business judgement following company policy and procedures

High level of flexibility, commitment, and performance standards
