Responsibilities
Prepare and support statutory financial reporting (Blue Book and/or Yellow Book)
Assist with insurance accounting operations, including month-end close and general ledger activities
Support financial consolidations and integrations related to new entities and acquisitions
Partner on general ledger system implementation and modernization initiatives
Help improve accounting processes in a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment
Collaborate cross-functionally with finance leadership, including the Controller and CFO
Serve as a mentor to junior team members as the department continues to scale
Qualification
Required
4–7 years of experience in insurance accounting
Working knowledge of statutory accounting and reporting requirements
Comfortable operating in a fast-changing environment with evolving structures
Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
Preferred
Background with an insurance carrier preferred; Big 4 experience also considered
Experience with GL implementations or accounting system upgrades is a plus
