Early Career Civil Engineer

The Early Career Civil Engineer will assist in planning and designing various engineering projects, including abandoned mine land reclamation and stormwater design, while collaborating with senior engineering staff.
Management Consulting
Responsibilities
Assisting in planning and designing Abandoned Mine Land (AML) and reclamation projects
Impoundment design and inspections
Site design
Site grading
Stormwater design
Permitting (including National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System [NPDES])
Preparing technical reports
Work with senior engineering staff to manage mining-related reclamation projects
Domestic travel may be required for visits to client mine sites as well as for client and corporate meetings
Qualification
Required
Bachelor of science or master of science degree in civil, environmental, or mining engineering from an ABET accredited university
A minimum of 1 year of mining engineering work experience
At least 1 year of experience using mining-related software such as AutoCAD Map 3D, Carlson, Rotational Equilibrium Analysis of Multilayered Earthworks (REAME) or equivalent, Sedcad Software or other equivalent commercial packages
