SOC Watch Analyst #1213
The U.S. Senate Sergeant at Arms is seeking a SOC Watch Analyst to assist in coordinating with various centers for incident information impacting Senate operations. The role involves supporting situational awareness and operations of the Security Operations Center (SOC) during daily operations and planned events.

Responsibilities
Assists the Watch Officer in coordinating with other Command, Operations, and Fusion centers and designated stakeholders for clarifying information on potential incidents impacting Senate Members, staff, facilities or operations
Assists the Watch Officer in the collection and analysis of information from a variety of sources, information feeds and contacts to facilitate the development of Senate-specific situational awareness
Supports the Watch Officer in developing and maintaining situational awareness of planned events and incidents that may affect the Senate
Supports the operations of the SOC and other programs during daily operations, planned events, or incidents
Develops and delivers training on SOC operations for non-Watch Desk individuals
Undertakes research and planning projects, which address SOC mission requirements under the direction of the SOC Manager
Other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Work requires a bachelor's degree in criminal justices, homeland security, emergency management
2-4 years of required work experience
Ability to remain calm and provide accurate details during stressful situations
Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
Ability to gather and analyze data
Ability to effectively interact with staff members representing all levels of the organization
Ability to accurately prepare and process a variety of reports, records, and documents
Ability to conduct professional presentations and present training to a variety of participants
Ability to develop instructional material and select most effective instructional method
Ability to obtain Incident Command Systems (ICS)- 100, 200, 700, and 800
This position requires that the applicant obtain and maintain a Top-Secret U.S. Government security clearance
Applicants must be U.S. citizens in order for the SAA to submit your application for a security clearance
Preferred
Demonstrated ability to think critically with experience monitoring and synthesizing information from open-source intelligence, situational awareness platforms, and emergency alert systems
Demonstrated ability to draft and deliver timely situation reports (SITREPs), briefings, and notifications to internal and external stakeholders
Ability to work effectively in high-pressure, time-sensitive situations and to adapt to rapidly changing circumstances
Demonstrated experience working in 24/7/365 operations, including shift work, holidays, and weekends
Excellent verbal and written communications skills and the ability to clearly convey complex information in plain language that is easily understandable
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in relevant tools and systems (HSIN, Microsoft Office Suite, mass notification platforms)
Familiarity with the operations, geography, and security of the U.S. Capitol or prior experience supporting Congressional or federal agency missions
