The International City/County Management Association (ICMA) is seeking a Finance Director for the City of North Richland Hills to lead a high-performing department and ensure financial stability. The role involves evaluating the utility billing system, leveraging technology, and enhancing operational efficiency.

Responsibilities
Lead a high-performing department while ensuring the City’s long-term financial stability through strategic planning and clear communication with City leadership
Evaluate the newly implemented utility billing system
Leverage technology and strengthen procedures, training, and operational efficiency
Serve as the City’s finance subject matter expert and safeguard fiduciary responsibilities
Act as a trusted steward of public resources and foster a collaborative, service-oriented culture
Qualification
Required
A Bachelor's degree in business administration, public administration, or accounting is required
At least seven years of progressively responsible experience in local government financial administration or accounting with at least two years in management
Preferred
A Master's degree is preferred
Credentials as a Certified Government Finance Officer or Certified Public Accountant are a plus
Any combination of experience and training that would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities will be considered
