Commissary Contract Monitor
The Defense Logistics Agency is seeking a Commissary Contract Monitor to conduct quality assurance inspections and contract surveillance duties at commissaries. The role involves ensuring compliance with directives and maintaining operational standards for contracted services.

Responsibilities
Conducts quality assurance inspections and contractor surveillance
Provides comments and recommendations for additions, deletions, or changes to contractor services to ensure compliance with DeCA directives
Approves or rejects contractor's work schedule and checks work for quality and timeliness
Maintains the store's space allocations program by such duties as designating to the contractor proper item shelf locations when shelf tags are missing or otherwise not identifiable
Advises commissary or contracted order writers
Acts as the commissary manager's representative during the night time hours to ensure government property is secure
Qualification
Required
Be a U.S. citizen or national. Applicants with a Permanent Resident Card are authorized to live and work in the U.S. but are not eligible for employment in positions requiring U.S. citizenship. If selected, proof of citizenship may be required

Meet the physical requirements identified in the Qualifications section
You must meet the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) qualifications for series 1101 and additional requirements by the announcement closing date
Experience: One (1) year of demonstrated knowledge of retail procurement and distribution methods; principles, procedures, and techniques of retail food merchandising and retail food store management; and developments in commercial retail food store items, equipment, and practices (specialized experience) equivalent to at least the GS-5 grade level
Conducting quality assurance inspections and contract surveillance duties of specified commissary or retail grocery contracted services
Applying retail grocery store administration policies and procedures as they relate to established contracts
Monitoring vendors and/or contractors in a retail setting to ensure proper inventory
Physical requirements: (1) Stand, stoop, kneel, bend and climb for prolonged periods
Preferred
Performance Appraisal (Optional). Current and former federal civilian employees, including those of the employing agency, are encouraged to include a copy of their most recent rating of record. Hiring managers may consider performance appraisals in the selection process
