Responsibilities

Perform on-site forensic investigations of wind, water, hurricane, hail, and storm-related losses
Analyze structural damage to roofs, building envelopes, foundations, and related systems
Determine cause and origin of damage, including differentiation between storm-related damage, construction defects, wear and tear, and maintenance issues
Document findings through field notes, photographs, measurements, and testing as required
Prepare detailed, well-supported forensic engineering reports
Review construction documents, weather data, repair estimates, and prior inspection reports

Required

Experience as a Forensic Engineer
Ability to conduct forensic investigations related to wind, water, and storm-related damage
Knowledge of engineering principles to determine the cause, origin, and extent of damage
Ability to provide clear, defensible conclusions for insurance, legal, and commercial clients
Experience performing on-site forensic investigations of wind, water, hurricane, hail, and storm-related losses
Ability to analyze structural damage to roofs, building envelopes, foundations, and related systems
Ability to determine cause and origin of damage, including differentiation between storm-related damage, construction defects, wear and tear, and maintenance issues
Ability to document findings through field notes, photographs, measurements, and testing as required
