Law Practice
Responsibilities
Assist senior level attorneys with all aspects of litigation, including interviewing witnesses, speaking with clients and opposing counsel, and drafting pleadings, discovery, and motions
Prepare for and assist with trial preparation, including drafting witness and exhibit disclosures, motions in limine, and preparing witnesses
Handle charges of discrimination filed with the EEOC and WSHRC, and draft position statements and respond to inquiries from administrative agencies
Qualification
Required
Admitted to practice in Washington
At least three (3) to four (4) years of experience in employment law matters
Excellent at legal research and writing
Dedicated to the practice of civil litigation
Experience assisting senior level attorneys with all aspects of litigation, including interviewing witnesses, speaking with clients and opposing counsel, and drafting pleadings, discovery, and motions
At least some experience preparing for and assisting with trial preparation (i.e., experience drafting witness and exhibit disclosures, motions in limine, preparing witnesses)
Experience with second-chairing a trial
Preferred
Experience handling charges of discrimination filed with the EEOC and WSHRC
Experience drafting position statements and responding to inquiries from administrative agencies
