The successful candidate will be responsible for performing electrical and physical design work for electrical substations ranging from 12 kV to 500 kV.

Responsibilities
Performing substation electrical and physical design work and, when required, drafting for assigned projects
Support other projects as required
Resolution of AutoCAD software operating issues
Establishing AutoCAD environments per client requirements
Qualification
Required
College degree or two-year technical certificate in computer-aided drafting/design
Minimum of 15 years of computer-aided drafting and designer experience
Advanced computer skills
Expert in the use, operation and maintenance of AutoCAD
Proven effective verbal and written communication skills
Results oriented and capable of completing design assignments with minimal direction
Effective in a team environment with strong interpersonal skills
Ability to interface with team members and clients
Strong work ethic with attention to detail, quality, schedule and budget
Occasional travel/driving may be required
Applicants must not require sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H-1B visa status) now or in the future
Preferred
Sound operating knowledge of MicroStation
